Youtube video embding in Joomla 1.6 TinyMce
If you set TinyMCE view to extended (under Extensions->Plugins->Editor TinyMCE) you'll see an icon of film strip. It's intended to be able to embed a youtube or any other video / flash.
Unfortunately there are some problems to get this working.
- Go to Extensions->Plugins->Editor TinyMCE
- Set the options as they are on the picture below
- be sure to set Clean code on save to Always - I enabled to clean only on frontend and it did not work!
- Set Prohibited elements to "noone". If you just delete all the elements in there and save, they will reappear. It's a bug.
- Save
- Go to article manager
- Select Options (right upper corner)
- Go under text filtering and set no filtering for admin and super user
This works for me but I spent quite some time playing before accidentally figured out that Clean code has to be set on Always to work. Hope I saved you some time :)
